Checklist of 5 signs indicating the aging process.

Have you young people ever checked whether you've entered the "aging" stage yet? The aging process starts from the age of 25 onwards. Some might argue that 25 is already considered old, and that the age range of 30-40 would be a more appropriate age range.

The reason we start counting at age 25 is because it's a time of new beginnings. Observe how your body, both internally and externally, begins to change little by little. Even if the changes aren't immediately obvious, you'll know they're different. For example, many people were once energetic and full of drive for whatever they did, but as they age, those energies diminish, signaling that their bodies are gradually declining.

So, anyone who has reached the age of 25 might need to start paying attention to their body. Examine both your physical and mental state. What level of aging are you at? But how do you check? There are just 5 signs of aging, so let's check them together!

  1. Signs indicating weakness or lack of power.

This decline refers to physical strength and stamina that you once had at full capacity, now significantly reduced to the point of complete exhaustion. For example, at age 20, you could run 3 kilometers a day in 45 minutes without feeling tired. Now at age 30, you can't even run 3 kilometers; it takes longer, and you get tired frequently, requiring frequent breaks. That's a sign that your body is declining and you're losing strength.
  1. Signs indicating declining memory and forgetfulness.

Difficulty with memory doesn't necessarily mean dementia, but it does mean a decline compared to childhood. Previously, you might have had an excellent memory, able to recall information quickly or remember 70-80% after reading it just once. Now, you need to reread multiple times, and your recall and accuracy have decreased. This could be due to hormonal changes, causing the nervous system and brain to decline with age. This results in forgetfulness, slower decision-making, and slower thinking – what we call the body entering the aging process.
  1. Signs that your body is not very flexible.

If you observe yourself when you're young, your body will be very flexible. But after the age of 25, your body will start to stiffen, and flexibility will decrease. This is because the body loses flexibility with age, as well as due to a lack of self-care. For example, you might used to be able to easily touch your toes, but now you can only reach your knees. As you get older, you'll start to feel stiff and unable to do things as freely as you did when you were younger and your body was as flexible as it used to be.
  1. Signs indicating rough, partially sagging skin.

Believe it or not, once you reach the age of 25, your once radiant skin naturally starts to become rough. While it may not be immediately noticeable, it's undeniable that your body undergoes these changes, particularly noticeable on your face, hands, and feet, where the skin appears rougher.

Besides increased roughness, sagging also occurs unnoticed, such as a slight droop under the chin, known as a double chin; noticeable sagging of the upper arms; loose and less firm buttocks; a noticeable drooping of the breasts, especially in those with fuller breasts; and even abdominal skin that, while generally lean, shows signs of sagging.
  1. Signs that indicate difficulty sleeping.

As we age, our bodies tend to be less inclined to sleep, or if we do sleep, we may have difficulty falling asleep or experiencing restless sleep. Instead of resting and recovering from fatigue, our bodies and minds remain alert. Many older people complain of insomnia, often due to aging and hormonal changes.

And from stress, anxiety, and diet, a combination of many things, it can even happen that after sleeping for many hours, you wake up feeling tired and achy as if you haven't slept enough, or you sleep for many hours but it's a restless sleep where you wake up frequently. That kind of sleep is considered inefficient.

These five signs indicate that you are beginning to enter the aging process. Of course, you can start checking from the age of 25. If you only have some of these signs, it may not be severe, but if you have all of them, you have entered the full stage of aging. While we can't prevent aging completely, we can still take care of our bodies and slow down the aging process. This can be achieved by adjusting certain lifestyle habits to promote relaxation, choosing healthy foods, exercising regularly, and taking care of both your physical and mental well-being to delay the aging process as much as possible.
